| World Environment Day 2001: In the environmental year falling between June 5, 2001 and June 5, 2002, The Orchid will clean the Shivaji Park Beach, rejuvenate the Advance Locality Management Programme, adopt more areas for beautification and initiate children to the environmental cause. | ||
| World Water Day 2001: Water is one of the earth's most precious resources and vital to life. Orchid Consumes only 378.6 lts/day/room against 1200 lts/day/room consumed by 5 Star Hotels |
Plastic Bags Collection Drives Cum Competition Results The Orchid - An Ecotel Hotel intends to help the BMC in their noble aim to cleanse Mumbai of plastic bags. As responsible corporate citizens, we at the Orchid are trying to do our bit by organizing this drive. However good our intentions may be, they are unlikely to bear any fruit without your valuable support; as all these movements are of the people, by the people and for the people. |

The Earth Day 2000: This year for Earth Day we had two major events. Keeping an eye on the future we have been working with various schools and college students to promote environmental awareness as children are the future. | ||
| Suppliers/Partners Meet 2000: Last year when we had the Partner's Meet for the first time, we had decided to make it an annual affair. Hence keeping with tradition we once again invited our supplier's for an evening meet. | ||
| The World Enviroment Day 2000: The object of the exercise is to ensure that no polluting vehicles escape the net and that the issue of invalid or false PUC Certificates is totally eliminated under the watchful eye of the Dignitarians supported by The Orchid An Ecotel Hotel. | ||
| World No Tobacco Day 2000: We worked with Cancer Patients Aid Association (CPAA), a non-government organisation. CPAA held free Awareness and Early Detection camps for all Tobacco Habitues. | ||
| World Water Day: A campaign was launched wherein we distributed mineral water bottles with an eco message | ||
