- Internally
The performances is communicated through:
- Our team members
- In monthly classes
- Displayed on our bulletin boards
- Guests are intimated (who participate in our programmes) in the form of a Certificate of appreciation.
- Newsletters
- Externally
Whereas the community is kept informed through:
- Print media - Articles, write ups in newspapers, magazines, weeklies etc.
- During presentations, seminars.
- And last but not the least we report our performances to ECOTEL on a regular basis.
- What recognition and/or feedback and/or publicity have you received for your environmental efforts?
The recognition we have received is tremendous. Starting from the various awards received by us due to our efforts (mentioned earlier), the community identifies our hotel as the "first green hotel". In fact we can safely say that 'The Orchid' name has become synonymous with the word environment friendly.
We have received tremendous publicity and feedback from the print as well as the electronic media (Annexure 52). To enumerate a few are leading newspapers like:
